周東彥第三次入選台北電影獎，再度由莒哈絲的文本延伸，透過女人自述及男人旁白，以多層次的影像，與敘事者視角的輪番轉換，重新詮釋莒哈絲作品中不斷形變的「記憶」主題。
The film interweaves major events selected from Duras' works and is presented in the following sequence: life, man, ocean, letters, writing, and death. The narration shifts among three different perspectives. Through this strategy, the director strives to recapture “the elusive and ephemeral nature of memory” in Duras' works.
