興奮一百年以上仍未冷卻的經典曲目，舍「貝九」其誰？交響曲，創始於交響爸爸海頓、灌溉於古典寵兒莫札特，到了樂聖貝多芬則已蔚為煉 金成術的王道；第四樂章，借鏡大文豪席勒詩作《快樂頌》所發聲的人類大愛，讓這首「合唱交響曲」總以歡騰雷動的掌聲，成為一年結束與 開始的最深祝福。由幻想曲風格的鋼琴獨奏悠長地開場，緊接著法國號與雙簧管精神抖擻的呼應宣告，「合唱幻想曲」的歡頌聲勢可謂貝九誕 生前的序曲呢！ 今晚合唱響起時，讓我們共濡「當黑暗，以光明；當悲傷，以喜悅」的胸襟。而音樂殿堂上的倒數計秒、水晶燈下的午夜起舞，已經是NSO 最招牌的跨年傳統，請與我們同飲美酒、共騁舞池吧，台灣的2010年必是榮景與繁華再起的全新之年！

There is nothing better than Beethoven's Symphony No.9 when it comes to a classic piece that has been loved for more than a hundred years? Symphony No. 9, originally composed by Haydn and revised by Mozart, was already recognized as a classic when it fell into the hands of Beethoven. Its 4th chapter, inspired by the poem Ode to Joy, is all about human love. Before we enter this grandeur piece, this night will first begin with Choral Fantasy, also by Beethoven. The New Year's Eve concert has become a tradition for the NSO. We shall count down in this palace of music, dance under the chandelier, and welcome a better and a more prosperous year together!
