雖然小提琴泰斗奧爾認為它技術困難，「根本無法演奏」，以刻薄聞名的樂評人漢斯力克說他在音樂中「見到那些卑猥庸俗的嘴臉，聞到充斥的下流酒臭」，柴科夫斯基的小提琴協奏曲卻依然成為同類型作品中的不朽佳作，可能歸功於柴科夫斯基的直覺與靈感，捕捉到活生生的躍動生命力。出生於拉脫維亞的小提琴家葛魯伯特，是小提琴大師柯岡的弟子，曾獲得帕格尼尼國際小提琴大賽與柴科夫斯基國際小提琴大賽首獎。現任莫斯科波修瓦歌劇院音樂總監亞歷山大‧維德尼可夫與葛魯伯特聯手揮灑凜冽的俄羅斯風情！

Although L. S. Auer, the all-time violin virtuoso claimed Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto “impossible to perform;” Hans lick, the acrid-tongued critic slammed the concerto “brings us face to face for the first time with the revolting thought: may there not also exist musical compositions that we can hear stink?”
Regardless of hostile critiques, Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto has since become the most beloved one ever written, for the unrivaled vigor Tchaikovsky breathed in has inspired and vibrated hearts of music lovers and musicians alike.
